Deep Diver

Our deep diver course is one of our most popular classes which certifies you to the maximum recreational depth allowed (130′). Earning your deep diver certification opens up so many different locations that are inaccessible by most divers. You’ll be certified to tour amazing North Carolina wrecks like the U352, Normania, & Atlas, as well as many others. Our instructors will train you how to safely & confidently dive to these depths.

What to expect in this course:

Diving past 100′ is a milestone for any scuba diver but not one that should be undertaken without proper training. In our Deep Diving course, we’ll train you on the physical, physiological, & equipment aspects of how to do so safely. You’ll learn how to handle, properly stow, & use a redundant gas source as well as learn about the effects of nitrogen narcosis at depth.

Any certified advanced open water scuba diver who wishes to expand their diver knowledge & skill set
Any certified advanced open water scuba diver who wants to advance their dive training
Any certified diver who wants to explore wrecks, aquatic life, or other underwater attractions below 100′

Deep Diving Certification

This class includes your online e-learning material, up to 4 in-water training sessions with a certified instructor, your certification card (C-Card) and bragging rights to your friends. If you have already obtained your e-learning through PADI or SDI, please contact us so we can provide you with a discount code.

Course Requirements:

Deep Diver certification prerequisites:

18 years or older
Approved diver medical form
Liability waiver

Gear requirements:

Standard scuba gear (regulators, BCD, weights, tanks, computer – available for rental)
Personal scuba gear (mask, fin, snorkel, boots – student must provide)
Redundant gas source (available for rent)
Appropriate exposure protection for diving environment (available for rent)
Compass (wrist, computer, or console)

Class requirements:

Satisfactorily complete the online learning course with a test score of 80% or higher
After instructor remediation, a test score of 100%
Demonstrate mature & sound judgment concerning dive planning and execution
Satisfactorily complete the online learning course
Complete all open water requirements safely and efficiently
Upload a photo to the certifying agency website (no hats or sunglasses)
